Job Description

Job summary
To lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Company’s sales and marketing strategies to drive
revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction across textile and apparel product lines. The role
oversees domestic, regional, and export sales operations; coordinates marketing campaigns and trade initiatives;
and ensures strong alignment between production capacity, customer demand, and brand positioning.
The position plays a key role in translating the Company’s commercial strategy into actionable business
development plans that deliver profitability, market share growth, and sustainable customer relationships.
Roles and responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
• Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans in alignment with the Company’s commercial
strategy.
• Set and monitor sales targets, pricing strategies, and revenue objectives across product categories
(spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, garments).
• Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and markets, including AGOA, AfCFTA, COMESA,
and other export platforms.
• Negotiate sales contracts, pricing terms, and supply agreements in coordination with Finance and Legal
departments.
• Drive expansion of the customer base and foster long-term relationships with buyers, distributors, and
institutional clients.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to align demand forecasts with production capacity
and delivery schedules.
2. Marketing & Brand Promotion
• Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns, trade promotions, and digital outreach programs
to strengthen market visibility.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, product innovations, and
customer needs.
• Develop marketing collateral, product catalogues, and advertising materials in collaboration with the
Corporate Communications team.
• Represent the Company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and promotional events to showcase products and build
brand recognition.
• Promote sustainable and innovative textile solutions as part of the Company’s competitive positioning.
• Evaluate marketing ROI and recommend strategies for continuous improvement in brand reach and
customer engagement.
3. Customer Relationship Management & Service Delivery
• Oversee customer onboarding, account management, and after-sales support processes.
• Establish systems for collecting customer feedback and measuring satisfaction levels.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and ensure adherence to quality and service standards.
• Maintain a CRM database with accurate client profiles, order histories, and communication records.
• Ensure responsiveness, reliability, and professionalism in all customer interactions.
4. Market Analysis, Forecasting & Reporting
• Monitor sales performance, pricing trends, and market share across key regions.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards for review by the Chief Commercial Officer and Executive
Management.
• Analyze sales data to identify risks, variances, and growth opportunities.
• Support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and product mix optimization in coordination with
Production Planning and Finance.
• Develop and maintain accurate revenue projections and sales budgets.
5. Leadership, Team & Performance Management
• Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales and Marketing team to achieve departmental goals.
• Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to enhance selling, negotiation, and market analysis capabilities.
• Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams for seamless customer
delivery.
• Promote a results-oriented culture that values innovation, accountability, and ethical selling practices.
